Experience Commerce wanted to explore new possibilities in the interaction paradigms for e-commerce applications on hand held devices. The challenge was to introduce a new shopping experience for the customers, which would be backed by an artificial intelligence search engine to enable an encounter as close as possible to real life. The client wanted to push intelligent selling and up-selling through the application interface.
The first step involved in understanding the desired work flow. Task scenarios were analyzed and input were given to enhance interaction design. Information architecture and navigation structure options were discussed with the client. Once frozen, a low fidelity prototype for the same was constructed for evaluation and feedback. Finally an interactive prototype was developed and integrated in a pocket PC. The application interface was also designed for portability for mobile phones.
Interactive prototype developed in flash, portable for both pocket PC and mobile phones was delivered to the client. The product design showed the detailing of a new interaction paradigm for future intelligent products on hand held devices.
