The Challenge:

Illumine Knowledge Resources Pvt. Ltd. recommended Estuary Labs to design and develop a 'Diagnostic Tool Kit' for BPCL. The presentation would be used by the BPCL's sales force to explain the advantages for a "Retail Outlet (RO)" to become a "Quick Service Retail Outlet (QSRO)". This toolkit consisted of a set of trigger questions and some proposed solutions to help the "RO" make a change plan to become a "QSRO". The challenge was in designing for both the sales team who were tech savvy and the end audience of the presentation who were not IT savvy. The tool-kit was also developed keeping in mind the second phase of the project which would include an integrated content management system for the same.

The Approach:

We understood the domain that we were addressing by a close discussion with the client. The client had made a basic walkthrough of the presentation in Power Point format, which helped us grasp the details quickly. Our design team explored various navigation and information design options to arrive at the final concept. The client was presented with incremental builds of the output to get continuous feedback. This helped us to iterate the product to best suit the client's final requirements.

The Outcome:

The outcome was an interactive presentation developed in Flash which served as an effective tool-kit for the diagnostic purpose of QSRO.
